POSITION AVAILABLE for COMMUNICATION CONSULTANT 2
Washington State University Extension is seeking a Communications Consultant to join a multi – state project working on Automated Systems in Specialty Crops. The project lead is Carnegie Melon University – Field Robotics Laboratory. Responsibilities include develop, edit, and disseminate a variety of communication/marketing materials to both project members, identified stakeholders and the general public. Duties include developing and maintaining web sites; maintain communication and collaboration via online tools, email and other novel technologies; editing audio and video presentations; and writing bulletins, abstracts and trade journal articles. Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, information technology, or related field or equivalent education/experience. Preferred qualifications: 6 months experience in information technology; experience in Microsoft Sharepoint and Adobe Dreamweaver; experience in developing marketing materials; and experience in video and audio editing software. Some travel will be required. Preferred position location is Prosser, but location is negotiable. Position is funded through June 30, 2012 with full time salary and benefits.
